Caisse d'Epargne Côte-d'Azur: Jean Mérelle, renewed duties

Jean Mérelle's duties were renewed by the supervision council of the Caisse Nationale. His duties are still the following ones: president of the Board of directors of the Caisse d'Epargne Côte-d'Azur. Formerly president of the Caisse d'Epargne Ile-de-France Ouest, he had been selected by Paris in February 1994, to lead another entity: Caisse d'Epargne Côte-d'Azur, after the merger between the Var and the Alpes-Maritimes. Under his management, the Côte-d'Azur entity joined again the group of the ten best Caisses while it was at the end of the group mid-1990s.The years 1999-2000 have been years of important changes, because of the transformation of the Caisse d'Epargne into cooperative banks, and with the purchase of the Crédit Foncier de France. For the Caisse d'Epargne, the nomination of the Board of Directors represented the last stage of its restructuring.
