Nice : a charter flight to the Guadeloupe

If in other regional French airports, the charter activity accounts for 10 to 15% of the air traffic, Nice international airport has a distinctive feature : there, the charter traffic is very low (200.000 passengers a year over the 9 million ones recorded; which represents less than 3%). And even these charter flights are concentrated on summer time. They bring tourists on the French Riviera, but they hardly concern local customers that want to travel. So the Air Europe's initiative to open in December 2000 a weekly charter flight between Nice and Pointe-à-Pitre in Guadeloupe has to be saluted. So now what about charter flights to Marrakech, Palma, Louxor, Santo-Domingo, with the possibility of cheaper prices on all these winter destinations among the most appreciated on the French Riviera…
