The colloquium 'WAP, so what ? Internet and mobile phone : what's the deal ?' which would have taken place on Monday January 19th at the ESINSA of Sophia Antipolis is deferred to May (the date will be communicated later). Organized by the Ecole Supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Nice Sophia Antipolis as well as A.Net, Acteurs & Réseaux PRCI, consultants in Information Technologies, it was composed of the main protagonists in the Internet and mobility industry, protagonists who, for the most of them, are famous in the technopole. Here is the list of participants : Texas Instruments, Siemens, France Telecom, Philips, the ETSI, the ESINSA, Telecom Valley, OTIS, IBM France, Amadeus, PMI France-Sud, Hewlett Packard, Intershop, Cnedi, Ubicco, MultiMedia Market, Altix Softonline, DataBase Forum, GIMECA. All of these companies or societies were represented by high level contributors who were in charge of mentioning all the sides of the WAP during debates, presentations and demonstrations all day longThe organizers have deferred the events for four months because of the last minute defection of two contributors. Eventually, the deferment suits also the participant companies. As the GPRS is late, the new products will be ready then. So, the demonstrations will be amazing and, anyway, much more significant than the current WAP which is too slow, too expensive and suffers from a lack of content.Contacts-Information and on-line registrations on /wapsowhat.com">http://wapsowhat-A.Net – B.P. 307, 06606 Sophia Antipolis CedexTel : 04 93 65 52 05.
