In Paris, Activia Networks, a start-up of Sophia Antipolis, is considered as a sensitive matter, mentioned the daily paper Les Echos, which dedicated a whole article to this start-up ("Activia Networks, the growing star of the Inria "). All investors are interested in it. It is true that this company, now managed by Pierre Liautaud, former executive at IBM and besides, Bernard Liautaud's brother, founder of Business Object, is full of ambition. It wants to rank first for content delivery on the Internet as Cisco did for the IP routing wrote the daily paper and is now present on the growing market of CND (Content Delivery Network). Akamai, Inktomi or Network Appliances are already present on this market but Activia is focusing on another niche, as telecom operators searching for new services to offer.
