AOM-Air Liberté: less redundancies than expected in Nice

Public companies have made another effort to host most of the 1,405 employees of AOM-Air Liberté. According to Jean-Claude Gayssot, the Minister of Transports, who declared on Monday August 27th, nearly 1,000 job were offered by Air France, and other companies in the public sector (SNCF, Paris Airports, and even companies such as EADS). “Nobody will be out of a job. I will make sure of it, added the minister. Concerning the stop over of Nice, it seems that union representatives have succeeded to decrease the number of redundancies. Out of approximately sixty people, about ten would be laid-off (compared to nearly twenty as planned at the beginning).
