Esterel Technologies raises 80 million francs

A news announcement done by Eric Bantégnie, the CEO of Esterel Technologies, during the party of Sophia Start-up dedicated to fund raising. Eric Bantégnie has indeed announced that his company (57 people among which around forty engineers in Villeneuve-Loubet) has raised 12.305 million euros (around 80 million francs during a third investment (the second one have been achieved in July 2000).Two of investors are already shareholders of Esterel Technologies created in April 2000: Innotech and CDC (Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations). Among new investors, the entry of Intel and Galileo. Esterel Technologies which have been selected as one of the best twenty start-ups in Europe during the IST giant congress (Information society technology) in Nice, works in the high tech chip design industry and in the formal verification of electronic components.
