In Monaco, the judge Jean-Christophe Hullin charged to money laundering (the French equivalent for interview under caution) two businessmen close to Charles Pasqua on Monday October 22nd in Monaco. Robert Feliciaggi and Michel Tomi had already spent two days in police custody in Bastia last June 19th at the request of the examining magistrate within the Principality. The case is linked to the financing of Charles Pasqua’s RPF campaign for European elections in June 1999. The former Minister for Home Affairs was already interviewed under caution last May 28th in this case. Robert Feliciaggi was particularly accused of having indirectly financed the RPF campaign after getting authorization fromCharles Pasqua to use the games of Annemasse casino in Haute-Savoie a few years ago.
