Nice : Art Jonction postponed until September

After the cancellation of the Nice Urban Free Ride last November, a new hit in the event program in Nice with the postponement of Art Jonction. The great international contemporaneous art fair which was scheduled under a big top of the Albert 1er garden from May 25th to 29th (15.000 visitors are expected) has been postponed to September 14th to 18th 2000. At the beginning, a closer date has been scheduled (from June 8th to 12th). But the proximity of the book show was a problem. The reason for the report ? Two subventions (300.000 F from the regional council and 100.000 F from the culture Department) have not been confirmed. Prudent, compared to what happened for the Free Ride with a multitude of outstanding payments, the big top and stands provider didn't want to take the risk and has withdrawn. Art Jonction in September is still dependent on the confirmation of both subventions...
