Protecta International boosted by the tempest

The tempest of the century, which has destructed thousands of EDF or France Telecom pylons, has provoked an incredible increase in the demand from SMEs on the French Riviera set up the industrial area of Carros. Protecta International, the national leader in the manufacturing of safety harness (100.000 harnesses per year), has had to face a strong acceleration of orders for a few days.The company, which manufactures individual protection equipment for air workers (besides safety harnesses, there are belts, anchoring systems, etc.) is a subsidiary of the British holding Capital Safety. Already growing in 1999 (more 15% of production with a turnover of 105 million francs and 136 employees) the company has planned to get wider in order to double the production. Now, the extension should occur more rapidly, while Protecta is going to strengthen its executive staff by recruiting around ten people.
