"Le malaise économique américain pourrait faire caler la croissance mondiale" (could American economic difficulties stop the world growth) it is said in Boursorama about the latest unemployment figures in the United-States. These figures have been published late last week and they have made European marketplaces fall. The analysis done by the AFP (Agence France Presse) and that is published by the stock exchange site is the following. Figures of American unemployment in August are bad: from 4.5% in July, unemployment is up to 4.9% in August with a bleeding of 113.000 jobs. And the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has increased by only 0.2% this spring on an annual rhythm as against more than 5% one year before. As unemployment is getting worse, authorities are particularly concerned because it could stop the momentum of consumption. And until now, recession was avoided thanks to the strength of the American consumption. Hence now, according to analysts, some risks of severe slowdowns of the activity in the United-States with consecutive resulting reactions in other countries in the world. From now on, nobody keeps the ghost of a world recession aside. So, we can fear some turmoil again on the marketplace this week.
