Strike at Air France: some troubles for the Nice-Orly flight

The troubles at Nice airport may be limited on Friday Oct. 20, because of the strike launched at Air France by the four pilots' minority unions. Among 1,300 flights, the company had to cancel about 100. At Nice airport, 5 departures and 5 arrivals were cancelled. The flights most touched were Nice-Orly (4 flights a day cancelled). Nevertheless, the company uses planes with a higher capacity of reception for several flights in the morning and for the latest evening flight from Paris, in order to offer the same number of seats for passengers. The conflict, launched by the four unions SPAS, ALTER, SNPNAC and SPAC (the main pilots' union called SNPL did not join the movement), is about the 35 hours' system implementation.
