In Carros, this year, the pharmaceutical laboratories of Arkopharma should enter the very select club on the French Riviera, of the firms that reach a one billion franc turnover. Thus, in 1999, the laboratories recorded a 9.4% growth of their turnover at 900.10 million francs. In 2000, the group headed by Dr. Max Rombi, plans a 11% rise, which may allow it to reach one billion of francs. A fast rise which is mostly due to the growth of the abroad activities. The net income of the group is also growing. At 66.20 million francs in 1999, it has risen by 15.20%, compared to 1998. A rise that should be more noticeable this year ( a 20% rise is planned).
