Clubs? fair in Sophia: see you next year!

There were more than 250 contributors all day long and all main projects of the clubs, which are part of the daily life of Sophia, were dealt with. Thus, the first meeting of the clubs of Sophia, on Friday September 28th at the CICA was a success. This fair of associations in Sophia, celebrating the one hundred years of the 1901 law, was starting from scratch. It was during the 30 years old celebration of Sophia Antipolis that the Telecom Valley and the Data Base Forum had planned a big friendly day for clubs. It could be organized in particular thanks to the tenacity of Agnès Daems and Elena Catala, secretary of the Data Base Forum and the Telecom Valley, the main contributors of the event.More than ten clubs could testify of the great liveliness of Sophia during the presentations through the day and the round table which took place at the end of the afternoon (see the list in the programme published on www.databaseforum.org). The senator, Pierre Laffitte, father of the science park, will certainly focus on the liveliness of Sophia in his speech at the end of the day. The next meeting was already scheduled on September 27th 2002 for the second edition.
