Monaco : the Start-up Forum opens to dotcorps
A small change in the name: the European meeting of start-ups, on July 5th and 6th, becomes the Net Business+ Start-up Forum, just to integrate big Net companies.
The Start-up Forum of Monaco goes on despite the enormous problems faced by the start-ups. The third edition will take place on July 5th and 6th at the Méridien Beach Plaza Hotel of Monaco. There is a change though: the forum chose a longer name. It becomes the “Net Business+ Start-up Forum”, in order to integrate the growing presence of persons in charge of « dotcorps » next to managers of start-ups », as stated. It will allow to open on the two specific markets of the NTIC sector. The Net Business Forum will thus target the decision-makers of the main « late stage » and « pre-IPO » start-ups (just before the listing on the stock market) through Europe. For the rest, the concept of the beginning didn’t change : to gather decision-makers from the most successful European growth companies in order to allow them to meet their main providers and service providers in an environment which both brings professionalism and conviviality. To sum up, in order to use the networking all the way.The first two editions, the one of July 2000, opened on Europe and the one in the winter, more Franco-French, have gathered about 800 contributors. For this summer forum, focused on Europe as last year, about 200 managers of the main start-ups and European dotcorps are expected. For the contributing companies, a very high access level : to have already raised a minimum of 5M€ or generated about 2M€ in turnover in 2000. Representatives of 70 providers and service providers are also expected. Among the nationalities are: France, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Spain, Benelux and Sweden. On the agenda of these two days, which promise to be realistic, there will be investment scenarios, workshops with partners, conferences of the Gartner Group on winning trends and technologies. Many serious things. Moreover, networking sessions will be organized. The new economy always need it. More information can be found on the website startup-forum.com
