Sophia: risks linked to climate changes

“Managing risks linked to climate changes”: this is the theme of the colloquium organized on Friday May 18th, 9.00 am, at the Sophia Country-Club, Grand Hôtel Mercure in Sophia Antipolis, by the Sophia Antipolis Foundation with the backing of the Franco-Greman association for science and technology (AFAST) and of diverse sponsors. The meeting will last until 5.30 pm and people will talk about four big themes: greenhouse effect and sustainable development; the energetic demand: what are the possibilities except fossil energy; technological solutions to reduce emissions: strategies of industrialists; policies to conduct and research of industrialists.The scientific Committee of this international colloquium will co-headed by Gérard Mégie, the president of the CNRS and Adolf Birkhofer, a Professor at the Technical University of Munich.
