Sophia : première réunion de l'association 'Deuxième vie'
La première réunion pour l'association 'Créer une deuxième vie professionnelle'. Lancée début octobre, cette association a pour but d'aider les cadres de plus de 45 ans qui se sentent à l'étroit dans leurs fonctions, à réaliser un projet personnel auquel ils auraient longtemps rêvé (la barrière d'âge étant plus indicative qu'impérative). Sophia : Ulticom inaugure son nouveau centre
Leader mondial pour les logiciels permettant le déploiement de services dans les réseaux de télécommunications mobiles, fixes et Internet, Ulticom s'était installé l'an dernier à Sophia Antipolis. La société, côtée au Nasdaq a son siège à Mount Laurel, dans le New-Jersey, et un établissement à Dallas, au Texas. En ouvrant un centre de développement et de support au cœur de la première technopole française, Ulticom cherchait à renforcer sa présence européenne. Une stratégie qui s'est révélée payante. Ulticom Europe a donc grandi.

Viviance is a Swiss company settled in Sophia Antipolis which launches on the Scandinavian market. Specialized in the field of online educative engineering solutions, the company recently took the control of the Danish firm Feldborg Multimedia in Copenhagen which was made a subsidiary under the name of Viviance new education Nordic. The subsidiary will become one of the competence centers of the group for research and development of 3D solutions and virtual reality.

The bad weather of Nov. 6 provoked a slowdown at the Nice airport. From 40 flights a day, the traffic collapsed to only 6.And the bad weather also disturbed the arrivals for the IST 2000 (Information Society Technologies) meeting which began that day, on Nov.6 in Nice Acropolis. Thierry Martin, the former CAD manager (Côte d'Azur Développment), is launching in writing. He will dedicate his first novel 'Simon' (Ed. Du Ricochet), on Nov. 18 from 3:00 pm at Librairie Masséna, 55, rue Gioffredo in Nice. He firstly studied literature before turning to economy.He lives in Marseille where he has been implicated since 1995 in the project Euroméditerranée. In 'Simon', he tells the story of a child whose mother left away and who lives alone with his father in La Balme mountains. Respublica.fr: a Live Chat job
Live jobs. The Telecom Valley recently experimented the use of the Internet to mass recruitment. Respublica.fr has launched the Live Chat 'emploi' (job). On the web, on Wednesday, November 8, from 8:00 to 10:00 pm, the unemployed people who are looking for a job will be able to discuss in live with recruiters. For the occasion, Respublica has begun a partnership with StepStone, which is at the same time a partner of the Ceram for the job site of the trade school. A first chat job to which the CEOs of Société Générale (a French bank), Cégétel and CS were invited to take a part in.
Monaco in Europe Council: not sure
The demand to enter the European Council made by the principality after two years of procedure will be examined on Nov. 20 and 21 by the permanent Commission of the parliamentarian assembly of the Council of Europe, in Brussels.
